Sat Paul Sharma was Thursday administered the oath as a newly-elected member of the Rajya Sabha by Vice-President of India CP Radhakrishnan, at the Parliament House. Prominent dignitaries, including Union ministers J P Nadda and Jitendra Singh, attended the ceremony.

Sharma, representing Jammu and Kashmir, took the oath in Hindi, emphasizing his commitment to serving the people and strengthening the country’s democratic institutions. His election to the upper house of Parliament is seen as a significant development, given his background as a chartered accountant and former cabinet minister in the J-K government.
